The carousel at the back of the dealership’s shop serves as a perfect reference to the unique way the Rolls-Royce Mustang is viewed by the public. While its new owner, Michael Lacey, said he was thrilled at how it was sold for $350,000 at auction, it doesn’t really surprise him. “The way they’ve sold the car, at the time, they didn’t have the money to build it,” he said. “And it’s an unusual car to be around in a town where you would just buy a nice white convertible and drive it home.”

It is worth mentioning that an F-150 Raptor looks like its parent company’s first, very distinctive car. If it did make it to the United States, if it had been at his shop, it stands to reason that it would not be the only thing in the world that would need to be built out of what it would find in Detroit. Ford had already spent $25 million to develop a huge, powerful high-performance muscle car by the time they signed on to build the Mustang prototype. The production numbers for the future of the Mustang and the Raptor were so impressive that they became a symbol of the American Ford brand to the world.
